I used cheap tea bags, a lot of them, put them in boiling water, let them steep and then painted my floor with the brew. I did 6 coats and then finished it off with 3 coats of water based polyurethane. It did not discolor my stained wood. I don't know why it discolored yours...Now my new pine floor looks it's as old as my 350 year old house. Yeah!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7326672.post-1153882747703283562006-07-26T10:59:00.000+08:002006-07-26T10:59:00.000+08:00I wouldn't recommend it, besides, you'd have to ru...I wouldn't recommend it, besides, you'd have to rub beeswax into your hair and buff it to a shine to get the full effect.

As a side note and an addenda, I chose cooked puerh because of its staining potency, but I'm sure one could achieve a similar effect using another tea, and even those dreaded things that are teabags... come to think of it, one is better off using a teabag to make wood dye than actually drinking a beverage brewed from one.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7326672.post-1153842959430102652006-07-25T23:55:00.000+08:002006-07-25T23:55:00.000+08:00Fascinating!
