Good Yixing clay helps preserve them for several days. (Beware: if you keep them too long, mold will appear). Then, I heat the outside of the teapot first and start brewing again.<br /><br />Gero,<br />My Rou Gui is still giving very sweet water and rich smells at the 9 or 10th brew (approximately, because I don't count). It's the strong chaqi that diminishes faster, though. What a truly beautiful Cha Xi,...Frohes Neues Jahr!<br /><br />What a truly beautiful Cha Xi, I especially like the elegance of the slender Nilu.<br /><br />Yesterday I also had a Rou Gui to bid the old year farewell. But my bag of Rou Gui always gives me conflicting feelings: the first 3 infusions are better than any other Yan Cha I have ever tasted, but then there is a dramatic drop in quality and the fourth infusion is merely tinted water. <br />I have tried many times changing different brewing parameters - still the leaves give up after 3 infusions.<br /><br />How about your Rou Gui?
