The jar should be filled to the top. No need to let fresh air in on purpose. But I still recommend that you open the jar every year or 2 to check how your leaves are aging. Therefore, wax is not necessarily the best way to close the jar. You can also wrap the jar in some fabric and then in a bag and keep it in a cool closet.TeaMastershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02433657904904185875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7326672.post-61635975463326495632011-01-10T23:35:21.595+08:002011-01-10T23:35:21.595+08:00After much pondering (and remembering some of your...After much pondering (and remembering some of your previous posts)I may have answered my own question...

I have a couple of the small ivory white porcelain jars that I purchased from you a little while ago, I could seal them with wax to keep them airtight. They hold about 35g per container, which seems like a nice amount to seal up and tuck away somewhere safe. The question would then be - do I need to periodically remove the seal to let in fresh air, say once a year, or are they fine to be left alone to age for as long as required?
Thanks! :DDave Cropleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00639244355250133854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7326672.post-58072084478528389512011-01-10T04:21:08.078+08:002011-01-10T04:21:08.078+08:00Hi Stephane, I thought it best to ask the question...Hi Stephane, I thought it best to ask the question here rather than by email in case anyone else is similarly interested - what is the best way to store a medium roasted oolong like this long-term? (by long term I mean 10yrs+ provided I can keep my hands off it!)Dave Cropleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00639244355250133854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7326672.post-15682671135024628772010-12-02T18:56:25.265+08:002010-12-02T18:56:25.265+08:00Merci pour vos commentaires!
