I've had the pleasure of drinking the buddha's hand oolong all week and I have found the tea very light and lemony, perfect for a delicious refreshing drink in the spring sunshine here in Bristol, It's so nice to have finally got some excellent quality teas, the quality of the leaves is amazing and I'm now keeping them in a bowl to dry and scent the room as well as marvel at their beauty. My tea journey has just taken another leap into the realms of the fantastic as i revel in the amazing quality of these leaves.Andrewnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7326672.post-31038059561046499822009-05-02T00:14:00.000+08:002009-05-02T00:14:00.000+08:00The taste of most drinkers in Taiwan is influenced...The taste of most drinkers in Taiwan is influenced by Gao Shan Oolongs. You are correct. So many teas tend to be made similar to them. Sometimes, like with this mao cha on the left, the result is too 'green' and raw. But a little roasting improved the one on the right (which I selected) a lot. It preserved its citrus taste, but gave it a riper touch.

I also tried some extremely dark Fo Shou (these are sometimes even sold as fake Puerh, thanks to their big leaves). Here, we come to the other extreme: the tea is so processed that it looses its original fragrance.
So, it's all about finding the right balance!TeaMastershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02433657904904185875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7326672.post-24418394029329021122009-05-01T01:31:00.000+08:002009-05-01T01:31:00.000+08:00Stephane,
