Spring Alishan Chang Shu Hu Oolong video in 4K

A highlight of my trip to Alishan this spring was being able to brew this high mountain Oolong from Chang Shu Hu in the middle of a plantation located 50 meters the plantation where the tea comes from!
The leaves I brew were harvested on April 24th, 2025. Selecting a single day batch (instead of a mix of several days) is the key to finding excellence and character. It goes against the trend of commoditization, which we find in so many business sectors. Standardization makes sense for industrial goods, a phone or these celadon cups. But when it comes to agriculture, life can't be standardized. A tea leaf growing in field in Alishan grows on different soil, at a different altitude, with different weather, with different exposure to the sun... than a tea from Shan Lin Xi. Actually, tea is so amazing that you tea from the same plantation tastes different if it's harvested just one day apart! (Taste the difference between Day 1 and Day 2 from this plantation in Shan Lin Xi).
I'm particularly glad that I have recorded this moment on my drone and I recommend that you watch this video on a large screen in 4K. Notice also how quickly clouds and sunshine alternate in Alishan!

More good news: I asked several US customers who purchased from my boutique recently and none of them had to pay any tariffs on their orders. Apparently, either it takes time to get implemented or the threshold is higher than what I declare. The road to the fresh and powerful aromas of Alishan leads through tea-masters!
