When I started my tea journey, I wasn't a big shu puerh dirinker. I wasn't a big shu puerh drinker when I selected it in 2015. And I'm still not a big shu puerh drinker now! However, I always enjoyed very clean teas with distinctive aromas that have character. Such a shu puerh is like a violoncelle. It gives you dark, sweet and deep tones like no other instrument/tea.
Life would be boring if it only had high/fresh notes. This mellow darkness has a lot of appeal, especially in the autumn season. The earthy scents go so well with the smell of decomposing leaves! And the sweet calmness of this Jingua puerh is such a nice fit with the rainy, damp weather outside.
The beauty of a miniature painting by the artist Elisabeth Galante adds colorful mountains for my spirit to climb...
The dark brown color of the brew shines as it fills the porcelain cup. David Louveau's woodfired teapot adds granularity and naturalness to the overall feeling.
But I must admit another for enjoying this shu puerh. It helps with my digestion. It's not a medical advice, just my personal observation. Here, I'm enjoying it in the morning, but the advantage of such shu puerh is that it is also a tea for the evening, because it won't make me sleepless.
This aged shu puerh is simply good!
Simplicity is vastly underestimated.
