The long wait is over. The spring 2025 high mountain Oolongs from Alishan and Shan Lin Xi are available! This year, after 7 years of absence, the Long Feng Xia section from Shan Lin Xi is making a come back thanks to a small family sized producer who is very generous with the teas and the knowledge he has shared with me. Long Feng Xia is located a few kilometers before the entrance to the Shan Lin Xi national park. The highest plantations of Shan Lin Xi are located there, on both sides of a small road overlooking steep cliffs. The view is breathtaking.
I took my drone to make this video (see below) and better share the green and fresh mountain feeling up there. Unfortunately, the wind was blowing quite strong, which shouldn't be a surprise, and the camera shook more than usual. Maybe it was a dysfunction, but it underlines the strength of the wind up there. I didn't fly my drone too far, because there was a majestic eagle gliding in the air, looking for a prey. I didn't want him to take aim at my expensive new toy!!
But I had better luck with my videos in other locations. I will release them on my YouTube channel in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
