Typhoon Sinlaku battered Taiwan during the Mid Autum Full Moon Festival this weekend. The grey weather and non-stop rain prevented any outdoor activity. So, I chose a colorful and warm roasted Oolong and my mother's tea quilt to lift our spirits. And it worked! Tea can have such an influence on your mood!

are you guys ok over there? I heard it's going to hit Fuijian very soon..... Texas is worst : (
En espérant que tout s'est bien passé à Taïwan... Visiblement, un thé et les cadeaux maternels peuvent contrecarrer les forces de la nature.
Thanks for your concern guys. We lucky to live in a new building on high ground in the city, so we really have little to fear. It's the remote mountain villages that are mostly at risk during typhoons.
On a lighter note, here is why the picture turned out so dramatic: my kids had played with my camera (a point and shoot Panasonic FX7) and had set the exposure to the maximum. I didn't realize it until downloading the pictures. The pictures were almost white, so I had to adjust levels with Photoshop. And that's the result!
I like to play with exposure time and opening with my camera and then adjust saturation... And on this photo, I find it adds a lot of unrealness to the situation. Even if unwanted, good job...
Please tell us about Full Moon Day more! Did you quilt the mat? It's so cute!
